Matt Freedman, Associate Broker, REALTOR®, Team Co-Founder

Matt prides himself on creating meaningful relationships with his listing and buyer clients while making sure that their best interests are taken care of. Matt has had the pleasure of working as the Lead Buyer Agent with some of the top producing teams in the state of Maine prior to starting Breakwater Realty Group alongside Faith Irek.

Matt graduated from The Massachusetts School of Law in 2012, and Lyndon State College in 1997, where he majored in Recreation Resource Management.

Matt is a father to 4 children and enjoys all the fun and chaos that comes with a family of that size - life is never boring! He is a past member of the Lyndon State College Alumni Council and the Deering Little League Board of Directors. Matt is a fan of the New England sports teams, enjoys hiking and golfing (although he’s admittedly terrible), and the delicious food that Portland, Maine and its suburbs are known for. Matt resides in Falmouth with Faith and their family.

Faith Freedman, Associate Broker, REALTOR®, Team Co-Founder

Faith grew up on an equestrian farm outside of Portland, Maine and returned to the state after graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a Business degree. She brings over 17 years of high-level marketing and digital management experience to her real estate career and enjoys creating effective and creative promotional campaigns that support Maine homeowners in the sale of their property. Faith is equally as devoted to finding her buyer clients homes that they both adore and feel safe in, and is committed to a client-forward approach that leaves no stone unturned in pursuit of the best deal possible.

Faith resides in Falmouth with Matt and their family. She enjoys live music, kayaking, golf, and is learning to both refinish furniture and to not kill her houseplants (one of which is far easier than the other!). She will drop everything to pet a dog and will never pass up an opportunity to visit a county fair. She is the former Corporate Vice President of the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Maine chapter, current volunteer with Riding To The Top, a therapeutic riding center, and enjoys finding new opportunities to support her neighbors in need of a helping hand.

Lori Hochman, Associate Broker, REALTOR®, Island Living Specialist

Lori has lived in Maine for the last 32 years, spending 20 years in Yarmouth.  She and her husband have lived year round on Peaks Island for the last 13 years.  Previously she worked in the legal field as a self-employed Court Stenographer, paralegal and legal assistant.  In 2016 she decided to utilize her love of antiques, gardening, and decorating and obtained her real estate license.  Her personality, meticulous style and longtime experience living and working in the Greater Portland area and Casco Bay bring a unique creativity to her clients seeking to find their ideal house.  She was honored to be the "Rookie of the Year" in 2017 for the most volume sold at her previous brokerage.

Julia Champagne, Sales Agent, REALTOR®

Julia is a Maine native who grew up in Brunswick before graduating from Saint Joseph’s College in Standish. After purchasing her first home in 2020, she was struck by the thrill that homeownership provided and consequently pursued her real estate license so she could help guide other home buyers in having a similarly enjoyable experience. She loves establishing trust with new clients and developing long-term relationships that go well beyond the realm of real estate.

Julia lives in Lisbon Falls with her partner, Ben, their two dogs, Winston and Willow, and three cats. When she’s not working, she loves hanging out with her dogs, gardening, coaching and playing basketball, and spending time at her family camp.

David Haydym, Sales Agent, REALTOR®

David was born in Ukraine, spent his childhood living in Orange County, California, and moved with his family to Maine in 2008, where he graduated from Casco Bay High School and obtain a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Southern Maine Community College. He was inspired by the real estate industry after purchasing his first investment property in 2020.

David specializes in both residential and investment real estate. He does not want to just sell you a home, he will make it his mission to ensure that you find your dream home and enjoy every step of the process. His ability to connect and build strong relationships combined with his extreme attention to detail set him apart from other agents in the industry. 

In his free time, David enjoys car shows, kayaking, and traveling, as well as just kicking back and indulging in some good reality TV.
